Quiet Luxury in Claremont, A Light Filled Perth Home Renovation

When our clients made the move from Sydney to Perth, they were looking for a home they could settle into quickly and comfortably. The house they purchased in Claremont had great bones and a practical layout, but the interiors were tired, dark, and in serious need of a refresh.

Collected Interiors came on board in May 2024 to lead the interior design and styling for this full home renovation in Claremont. We worked closely with Woodleigh Home Improvements to bring our vision to life, completing the project just in time for the clients' move-in early the following year.

A Full Home Renovation in Perth, Reimagined

This was a complete, top-to-toe renovation. The scope included:

Kitchen, bathroom, ensuite, laundry, and powder room renovations

New engineered timber flooring throughout

New windows and doors

Full internal and external repainting

Lighting and electrical plan

Custom window treatments and soft furnishings

The brief? Create a relaxed, minimal and light filled home that reflects a calm, coastal lifestyle with dog-friendly surfaces for their large and very lovable dog, Summer.

Coastal Palette, Timeless Materials

We replaced the original slate and carpet with engineered timber boards from Woodpecker Flooring to instantly warm up the home. In the wet areas, we chose terrazzo tiles from Original Ceramics and layered white kitkat tiles floor-to-ceiling for a clean, timeless look.

Marble benchtops from CDK Stone added understated elegance and texture, one of our favourite materials for creating quiet luxury.

The walls were painted in Dulux Snowy Mountain Quarter, with the exterior freshened up in Dulux Whisper White. These soft neutrals formed the perfect base for layering natural textures and warm metallics throughout.

Custom Cabinetry & Thoughtful Details

Every room features custom lacquered cabinetry by Kindred Design, from the kitchen to the bathrooms and laundry. We worked closely with our builder, Woodleigh Home Improvements, to ensure every detail was considered and beautifully executed.

Live brass tapware and custom-framed mirrors add warmth and a hint of vintage character, while layered lighting throughout the home gives the interiors a soft, inviting glow.

Curated Furniture for a Calm, Modern Interior

We finished the home with a curated selection of modern Australian furniture, tailored to the clients' lifestyle and the home's relaxed mood. The standout pieces? A marble-top dining table and coffee table by Patricia Urquiola, sourced through Mobilia, paired with iconic Cassina Cab chairs (a personal favourite). Plush sofas from Jardan completed the look, laid-back but polished, just the way we like it.
