CLAREMONT.

A couple relocating from Sydney to be closer to family bought an original 1980s Claremont home with a layout they loved and architecture that didn’t need fighting. What it needed was everything else: finishes, joinery, lighting, furniture, brought up to date at a level that matched the architecture’s confidence.

We redesigned the kitchen, master bedroom, ensuite, bathroom, powder room, and laundry, with built-in joinery throughout, including the living room TV cabinet and master wardrobes. Calacatta Monet marble, terrazzo flooring, white kit-kat tiles, and crisp white cabinetry carry the renovation, finished with sheers, considered lighting, and furniture by Cassina. The couple brought clear taste to the project; the work was in resolving it.
