Project Marmion: Luxury, Intention, and Effortless Design

Discover how Collected Interiors brought quiet luxury and masculine restraint to life in this striking Marmion new build, a full interior design project defined by trust, craftsmanship, and timeless detail.

A Client with Trust and Taste

Three years ago, our client approached Collected Interiors to help shape the interiors of his striking new build in Marmion, a coastal suburb known for its quiet beauty and relaxed lifestyle.

The architectural structure was already designed, but what lay within the soul of the home was still a blank slate.

He didn't arrive with a detailed vision board or Pinterest folder. What he offered instead was something far more valuable: complete trust. His brief was simple but powerful.

"I want it to feel luxurious, considered, and free of clutter."

Minimalism, Reimagined

His style was masculine but measured. He didn't want excess or "stuff." He wanted calm, clarity, and a sense of grounded warmth, a home where everything had a place and almost everything was built in.

We approached the interiors with restraint, layering textures and materials that brought depth and quiet sophistication. Custom cabinetry runs throughout the home, finished in walnut timbers, natural stone porcelains, and gunmetal accents.

The palette feels minimal but never cold. Bold architectural lines are softened with light, neutral tones, and tactile surfaces that invite you to pause.

The Basement as a Destination

Beneath the clean architectural lines of the main levels lies a hidden retreat, a basement designed for restoration, entertaining, and escape.

Complete with a spa, sauna, bar, lounge, and gym, it quickly became the client's favourite space. We jokingly call it the "man cave," but it's more than that. It's a private sanctuary, a destination within the home designed to be used and loved every day.

When the Process Feels Effortless

Some projects feel like hard work. This one didn't.

Our client's trust made the process seamless. Each decision flowed naturally, from layout revisions to the final furniture and styling selections. His thoughtful yes/no feedback made space for creativity to thrive, and the home evolved into a true reflection of him.

It's rare to find that balance of creative freedom and mutual respect, and it shows in every detail.

What He Said

"Lisa did an incredible job designing my home from start to finish. She made the whole process easy, and the result is better than I ever imagined. The house feels stylish, comfortable, and completely me, highly recommend."
